Can I come by the Perma Plaque by ICU office and drop my documents off in person instead of mailing them in?
Yes, but since we do not have regular hours, you should call and make an appointment and/or call before you come. Chances are we'll be here, just check with us first. We do have real color samples here also. Unfortunately, we can not store the finished Perma Plaques so they must be shipped to you.

The different color samples on your Web Site vary and I can't tell which is the color I want. What can I do?
It is difficult to replicate real-world colors on a computer screen which uses a combination of three colors (red, green, blue) to replicate what our eyes sees in the millions of colors. If you are trying to match a Perma Plaque, there is a handwritten six-digit number on the back. If your Plaque is not too old (about six years or less), we can look up your order. If it is older than that, please give us a call and we can usually determine the correct color.

I want a Perma Plaque Box done in a color listed for Plaques but not for Boxes. Can that be done?
If the color you want on your Perma Plaque Box is not one of the Box colors but is listed as a Plaque color, there is an additional $8.00 custom color charge.

I live in Hawaii (or Alaska). How much is shipping?
We must ship Perma Plaques via air to Alaska and Hawaii. There is an additional charge of $15 for each Plaque, or a total of $23.50 per Plaque. For large orders (more than three Plaques), please give us a call for shipping costs.

My document has a ribbon on it. What is the thickness limitation for the Perma Plaque lamination process? What happens if it is too thick?
Our lamination process cannot laminate items that approach 1/32nd of an inch and that's pushing our limits. More realistically is 1/64th of an inch. If your document is too thick, we can use a hard piece of acrylic, which is attached with four brass screws (not laminated). There is an additional charge of $12.00 for acrylic. Alternatively, we can remove the ribbon and laminate.

Why does it take so long for my Perma Plaque to get done?
We work very hard to get your prized documents back to you as soon as possible. The multi-stage Perma Plaque process takes time. Wood must be cut, beveled, stained (and dried), the bevel painted (and dried), documents positioned, laminated and cooled. Then the Plaques are set out to cure until the Plaque can be shipped without being sticky. Time of year is also a factor, since weddings and graduations spike in early summer.

I am sending in six documents to be Perma Plaqued. Is there a quantity discount?
Generally, for Plaques up to about 11 x 14 inches, every third Plaque ships free. So for three Plaques, the shipping charge is $17.00. For large orders of 10 or more Plaques ordered at the same time and to be shipped back to he same address, please give us a call for possible discounts.
